Makin' my office a little more artsy fartsy:)

Hey Y'all!

It's that time again!!! Time for the monthly Silhouette Challenge!!
This month was a peice of cake for me, as it was themed around home decorations. WELL, my soon-to-be-hubby-maybe-one-day gave up half of his garage! THAT'S RIGHT FOLKS, half of his garage!!! OH MYLANTA!

I don't know about you, but I don't know of any men that would give up their lair, their man cave, their piece of the house that they can go drink, fart, talk about all the crud they somehow find interesting, their throne (besides the porcelin goddess).

BUT MY MAN DID!!!!!

So it all started because I wanted a quiet place for my homework (i'm in college) and also he wanted all my crud out of the kitchen. HA!

I found this desk for free on craigslist. My son K and I went and picked it up, well the lady failed to tell us it weighed about a bajillion pounds! So K dropped his side and broke the legs off of it :( REPAIR TIME!!!!!!

Anywho long story short, my STBHMOD came home and built my new beauty legs from pallets! Oh and custom made it tall enough that one of my carts can fit under it :) Gosh darn I love that man!

Well what I am making a little more artsy fartsy are some AMAZING cabinets that I found for free on the side of the road!!!!!! I LOVE BIG JUNK DAY!!!

here are the plain Jane things.
As you can see I have my tape all stored on the top shelf there, and then one of my paper trimmers (the less hurtful guillotine one.... oh yeah almost chopped my finger off so it is currently grounded) and of course some paper packs!!! Every girl has to have a few hundred of those!

Any who! I took some 631 Vinyl that I just purchased from Pick Your Plum (that site will me the death of me! Not only to they send you a laffy taffy with your order, but they also offer amazing quality products for cheap!!!!)

Got my trusty side kicks in the biz...... Mr. Fat Fat, Mr. Boo, and also the 5th love of my life, my Silhouette~

They like to make sure everything runs smoothly!

Basically what I did was took a quote that I felt was fitting and made into a cut file in studio. Then cut it! Easy Peasy!

This is what I came up with.....

More next week on Office Artsy Fartsy Part 2!!!

Now go check out these other blogs for some more Home decorating ideas/tips!!!

Love y'all!
